Flavia Rocha Moody, ESQ.

Founding Member/ Managing Partner

Flavia Moody is an experienced attorney in immigration that has depth knowledge of and experience in the U.S. immigration legal system. Mrs.Moody founded Rocha Moody Law Firm,LLC in 2021 and practices in immigration law, deportation and removal defense, immigration federal litigation and national law.

She was born and raised in Fortaleza, Brazil and came to the United States in 2004 under a fiancée visa. Flávia has a personal connection with the anxieties and concerns associated with the immigration process. Her experience as an immigrant, as well her family and friends, propelled her to pursue a career in the immigration law.

As an immigration lawyer, Mrs.Moody practices in all major areas of immigration law focusing specifically in unaccompanied minors and juvenile immigration law, immigration removal defense and Federal immigration litigation. She attended the University of Fortaleza(Universidade de Fortaleza- UNIFOR) in Brazil to obtain her Juris Doctor. She went on to receive her Master of Laws(LLM) from Paul H. Law Center at Louisiana State University and was granted Equivalency Certification by the Louisiana Supreme Court. Flavia Moody was admitted to practice law in Louisiana in May 2013.

Attorney Moody has been the media liaison for the American Immigration Lawyers Association(AILA) Mid South chapter since 2019. Mrs.Moody is also the former chairperson for the Immigration Law section at the Louisiana State Bar Association.
